The Search Page
| The search page is an
interesting creature. Several of the list dropdown fields are populated by what's in
your database. So, people will only see the towns that exist in your database.
This image shows what the search page looks like.
The teal colored links under the clear search button take your visitor directly to a full list of all of the listings that fit into the linked category. To enter houses into different categories, change the category on the listing page. It is highly suggested that when you enter a property that you enter the MLS number as well (Or some other unique number such as the phone number or a custom code that you create). This will assist users in searching for a particular property, and it is also used by the styles that place random listings on the front page of your website. If you don't have a unique number in the MLS field, you will get a broken image on the random image on the home page, and the link will not work properly. |
